rashid
I totally had a moment today.
We were playing with this kid, trying to do a neurological exam with the little munchkin. He was rather fractious and was squirming away, but didn't yell his head off unlike some other munchkins, merely gurgled away like a little fish. This kid had cerebral palsy and spastic quadriplegia, so he was developmentally delayed, and likely not very aware of his environment. I took over the koochie-kooing from the consultant who was giving us a tutorial, and this handsome little fella looked me in the eye, stopped squirming and giggled :) For a precious half minute or so, he lay completely relaxed, grinning at me and it was the most surreal of things ever. So the consultant finished demonstrating his diminished power, increased tone and hyperreflexia all in that brief space of time, and all I could think was this kiddie liked me :)
Which you know, is so rare that I appreciate all the love I can get from kiddies. I love you too little Rashid :)
